Colm holds ‘lively’ forex talks with regional business chambers
Minister of Finance Colm Imbert has met with members of the Confederation of Regional Business Chambers (CRBC).
According to the ministry’s official social media page, during the meeting, Imbert engaged with the CRBC in a lively discussion on the matter of Forex.
It was highlighted that the Minister was joined by members of his executive team and the following members of the CRBC:
Vivek Charran, Chairman of the CRBC; Ricardo Mohammed, President of the Eastern Business and Merchants Association; Jai Leladharsingh, CRBC co-ordinator; Angie Jairam, President of the Fyzabad Chamber of Commerce; Dr Vaalmiki Arjoon, Economist; Martin George, Tobago Business Chairman; Omar Hadeed, Businessman; Dianne Joseph, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries; Jessie James, Vice President of the Marine Services Association; and Marlon Birja.
Specifics about the discussion on foreign exchange were not divulged, however, it’s no secret the local business community has been facing challenges.
The TTSCI in an online post noted its President Dianne Joseph accompanied members of the Confederation of Regional Business Chambers to advocate on their behalf concerning the FOREX challenges and possible solutions.
