In a further twist to the domestic violence proceedings brought by his wife two weeks ago, former Deputy Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly Hilton Sandy has now been ordered to vacate the matrimonial home.
In an Emergency Injunction obtained by his wife’s Attorneys, Martin George & CO, in the Port of Spain High Court last Friday, Mr. Sandy, who serves as an Assemblyman in the THA, has been served with an Injunction Order compelling him to completely vacate and move out of the matrimonial home within five hours of being served.
He is further restrained from coming within 500 feet of the home.
C News understands a contingent comprising the Marshal of the High Court, Bailiff and police officers went out to the Sandy home at Riseland, Tobago on Friday evening to serve Mr. Sandy but he could not be found.
He was however located and served at around 11am on Monday. His Attorney, Joy Phillips, and THA Attorney Alvin Pascal, were present at the time.
Mr. Sandy was visibly upset and livid upon being served with the Court Injunction Order which gave him until 4pm on Monday 17th August to leave.
If he fails to do so, his wife has advised her Attorneys to file for Contempt of Court proceedings.
